We take pride in providing excellent competency restoration treatment to a varied inpatient population and are seeking a likeminded psychologist to join our team. Our psychologist provides frequent competency screening evaluations to guide treatment and to determine when an early referral for a competency evaluation is needed. In addition, the psychologist provides treatment to individuals, as well as making individualized treatment recommendations to the interdisciplinary treatment team for each patient. Other duties include developing behavioral-management plans as needed, administering psychological testing as needed, and providing education to coworkers and leadership in treatment process and enhancing the therapeutic milieu.
The Psychologist provides competency screenings to inform the treatment of patients who have been found incompetent to stand trial. As needed, the Psychologist develops behavioral interventions and behavior plans and conducts psychological testing. The Psychologist is an active member of the treatment team, providing staff education as needed on psychological issues and working with the team to develop therapeutic interventions that address competency barriers. The Psychologist may be responsible for assigned treatment sessions and may have responsibilities for quality assurance monitoring.
